Taking Screenshots

What is a screenshot anyway?  It is a quick picture taken by the computer to record the visible parts on your pc monitor.  It is usually taken using some kind of screen shot software.

Ever try to describe to someone what you are seeing on your screen?  Ever wonder how tutorials get their screen shots?  Screenshot software makes this an easy task.

This is what a screenshot looks like.

I use a free screenshot tool to create my own tutorials, notes, manuals, etc.  It’s called ScreenHunter and you can download it for free at http://wisdom-soft.com/products/screenhunter_free.htm.  It is easy to use, and any screen clip you create will paste right into any wordprocessing software so you can print it out, email it, or save it as an image.

I also use it when I am showing a client  a design if I am not ready to send them a high resolution print quality version of the design.  This keeps people from using my work until it is paid for.

Note: Please use it responsibly and remember that any image on the web is NOT free for anyone’s use, and it usually has a copywrite on it.

I am trying out the Networked Blogs app so that I can post on my WordPress blog and it should automatically post it on Facebook.  I hope this does the job because I think it will be a big time saver!

Hello, My name is Pamela Fox with PS Design and Printing.  I have been in business since 2004 and absolutely love my job!  I create designs for all kinds of printed marketing materials such as business cards, postcards, and brochures.  I also create website designs and web components for existing websites.

I am thinking about posting about the projects I have and images from them, as well as hints and tips for doing all sorts of computer/business related things.

Today, I was looking for a quicker way to build web forms, and have come across some free online form generators that are worth looking into.  More on this later….
